Young, black, & gifted: a candid conversation with celebrity fashion stylist, Darrius Rushing.

The dapper celebrity fashion stylist has always had a flair for fashion and style.

Darrius Rushing is young, black, and on a mission. The ambitious senior at Clark Atlanta University has all the right creations when it comes to top-notch stylist to chat about everything from fashion, to his celebrity clientele, down to his ultimate mandate.

When did you first realize that you wanted to become a stylist?

I realized I wanted to become a stylist my sophomore year of high school. People would call around prom and homecoming season to ask me for advice on what to wear. So, I became interested in being a designer because I didn’t know that styling was thing. I thought the designer did everything, so around that time Instagram was popping. I found out what a stylist was, and then I decided that was exactly what I wanted to do, by picking out clothes.
