Over the weekend, the2019 NAACP Image Awards took place and what a night it was! The annual show celebrated its 50th year and was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood for the first time!
The event was hosted by Anthony Anderson and before the big show took place, many big names were announced as winners! Leading the pack this year, Netflix and HBO had 22 and 20 nominations while ABC followed closely behind with 18 nominations. Oscar Best Picture nominated film, Black Panther had 14 total nominations!
In addition to all the exciting awards, Jay-Z was honored with the President’s Award!
