The Wearable Art Collective showcases new collection during New York Fashion Week!
Last week during New York Fashion Week, The Wearable Art Collective showcased its newest collection in the United States for the first time in a private fashion runway show entitled, “Fashion, Culture & Heritage.”
The Wearable Art Collective’s main mission is to promote strength and empower African designers. Not only does the collective consist of talented designers but it also includes tailors and artisans throughout the world of fashion. Each piece worn contributed and made both a financial and social impact in the lives of many families and young women.
The Wearable Art Collective is curated by Lola Owolabi based in London which brings the vision of African influenced beauty and design to the forefront. The “Fashion, Culture & Heritage” runway fashion show during fashion week was created by African designer VHMODE Accra, who designed exquisite formal designs which details are hand-made.
