Sunday, December 11th 2016, producer Status Publicity held “Theatre Night in Atlanta,” presented by Tashia Similao. This edition of “Theatre Night in Atlanta” hosted by A’lana Banks featured actresses Reece Odum (Saints & Sinners), Porsha Ferguson (The Haves and the Have Nots), and Shay Mack who doubled as director. The show kicked off with outstanding performances by singers Teeya Skipper and Mishon. The play, written by Gregory D. Alexander, and aptly named My Sister By No Other Name, was about 3 completely different women who came together under one commonality – faith.
Theme withstanding, Status Publicity teamed up with the philanthropic nonprofit organization Celebs Give Back founded by Aniah Denise to bring a charitable spirit to an artistic and faith inspiring atmosphere.
“It was a must to team up with Celebs Give Back,” Michael Majesty of Status Publicity Stated, “the organization blesses thousands of families across the United States with quality food, toys, and more. I am blessed so blessed to be able to contribute to a beautiful initiative.”
Robin Dyke, Ambassador of Celebs Give Back, best known for Bravo TV’s Mother Funders, also had this to say, “So many times in life, our small contributions can make the biggest impact. [Whether it’s donating time or a bike], your participation can change these children’s lives forever.”
Celebs Give Back is currently collecting new unwrapped toys for their annual Hope For The Holidays community event that provides Christmas toys for children in need. To donate, visit www.celebsgiveback.org.
“Every Theatre Night In Atlanta will feature a new stage play. As a producer I always try to make it a goal to highlight positive content and talented artists.” Michael Majesty, who is currently working on his own screenplay, is open for new writer submissions.
