South Carolina native, Amber Martin has given us every single reason to love and adore her. The University of Tenessee Knoxville alum not only captures her life memories to the world but she also shares her fitness journey which has truly proven to us that she is the ultimate girl boss. SHEEN had the opportunity to get to know the influencer quickly on the rise as she also shares what it’s like to commit herself to YouTube and her subscribers.

Can you tell our readers about yourself? What inspired you to create a YouTube channel?

I’m Amber, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BFA in Graphic Design. I’m 24 years of age and I started my channel about three years ago. I initially began posting content on YouTube because I don’t have an excellent memory, so I wanted to capture the most relevant moments I shared with my family and friends. My vlogs are just home videos in my mind, and I love to look back at them and reminisce.

My channel became more popular when I began documenting my college experience. I was exhibiting the good and bad that came with being a college student, and I guess it was relatable. With that, my audience grew, which was great but I genuinely loved sharing my college experience and influencing others in a positive.

I’ve since graduated, so the burning question for most when you finish school is “What’s next?!” After graduating, I decided to take time off for a bit and enjoy life with no set priorities. I then got a taste of the corporate world but decided freelance graphic design would be better suited for me. With that, I have a flexible schedule and it has allowed me to take my health and fitness more seriously. I have been focusing on creating a healthier lifestyle for myself for almost a year now, and I love the impact I have had on others throughout my journey. Today, I am an active influencer, graphic designer, fitness enthusiast and more. I am trying to lead a great life so that I can continue to be a positive influence on others.

I love a good beat face, but more than anything I love wearing no makeup at all. My Drunk Elephant Marula Oil takes my skin to another level and definitely gives me that natural glow when I’m makeup free. You won’t even need a highlighter!

My favorite foundation is the Nars Sheer Glow. It is so natural and lightweight on the skin and matches perfectly.

My favorite highlighter is the Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow. It makes it so hard for me to even use my other highlighters. It just melts into my skin and looks extremely natural.

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray is a must have setting spray after you apply your makeup. Not only does it keep your makeup on, but it melts it into your skin so that it appears more natural.

Lastly, anyone that knows me, knows I live for a good lip gloss. One of my favorites is the Buxom lip gloss in Hot Toddy. I have a lot of great products that I use, but those are just some that stuck out to me.

What would you say is your favorite thing about being an online influencer? Is there anything you dislike about it?

My favorite thing about being an online influencer is having an abundance of friends all around the world. My subscribers are the best and the connection I have with them is amazing, they feel like family. Also, I like being in the role model position and influencing people to be more positive and live happier lives. It flatters me to know that I can motivate someone or make their day better, just through a video.

There is not really anything I dislike about being an online influencer. I love what I do.

How do you commit yourself to publishing videos consistently on your channel while juggling everything else in your life?

When I set my mind to something, it is hard for me not to commit myself to it. I think with anything you want, you really have to become obsessed with it, so that you can always try and put your best foot forward.

I also have to prioritize, so I can keep myself in check. I am fairly hard on myself, so being dedicated is not hard for me when I think about where I want to be in the future.

What can we expect to see from Amber Martin in the future?

Greatness. To be honest, I am not one to talk about my future plans, I really just like to execute them. With that, I just want to continue to grow and expand my channel. So yeah, just expect to see more of Amber Martin in the future.
