What inspired you to write your first book?
I think people needed to know my story and how I beat stage 4 breast cancer. I challenged myself every day to do something different.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I write from the heart. I’m real and raw and gritty.
What books have most impacted your life (or life as an author)?
I write for self-development and self-improvement because I had a death sentence and beat it. I think the world should know that you are not who you are because where you are from or what you have been through. You can always change the story of your life. You can heal your life by Louis hay. Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill What I know for sure by Oprah Winfrey.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging about writing or coming up with a concept for your book?
The challenging part is doing it. We make every excuse as to why we can’t write, why we can’t do this or that but doing it is the hard part. I set a goal for myself to write every morning at 6AM and I do it.
What advice would you give other writers?
JUST DO IT. Push through when you get stuck. Set up an alarm system and be creative.
Tell us three “good to know” facts about yourself.
I love to try different things. I have been to every continent except Antartica. I love meeting new people and finding out about their passions. I love giving back and helping people. I believe I was kept on this Earth for a reason and I’m going to live my reason.
