The 38-year-old comedian faced many challenges in her life to get to where she is today as a woman. We know we’re not the only ones obsessing over the comedian which is exactly why SHEEN is making her our Woman of Empowerment Wednesday!
Haddish rose nationwide for her performance in the record-breaking comedy, Girl’s Trip.
Haddish spent her childhood in South Central Los Angeles. Unfortunately, at the age of nine, her mother suffered from brain damage when she was involved in a car accident. At a young age, Tiffany had no choice but stand in her mother’s shoes and care for her three younger siblings. The children were later turned to foster care.
It was a decade later when comedian, Kevin Hart noticed Haddish living out of her car. Hart helped Tiffany get a hotel room and asked her to write out a list of goals she has in life. To list a few, Haddish wrote, “find a place to live, work with Kevin Hart, work with Jada Pinkett Smith, and spend time with Arsenio Hall. Since making that list, Haddish has managed to accomplish all bits in her career.
Along with her list of accomplishments, Haddish is set to release a book, The Last Black Unicorn, which will go on sale in December.
Haddish took it to Instagram after the lineup was announced to share her excitement.
Be sure to tune into SNL on NBC, Saturday, November 11th at 11:30PM to witness Tiffany Haddish make history!
