Embrace your monthly menstrual cycle

Periods have been around since humans first walked on Earth. In many places across the globe, periods are still celebrated as a rite of passage. Unfortunately, there are many girls who experience what is known as period poverty. Period poverty simply means that some girls from low income backgrounds don’t have access to clean fresh pads, safe feminine hygiene products, and are often shamed because they’re on their cycle.

Menstrual inequality, menstrual equity, and the period tax all make TOTM for some girls and women more of a burden than the celebration of womanhood it should be. Menstrual equity is about education, and the resource affordability of pesticide free, dioxin, and toxin free menstrual products. Tampons shouldn’t be a luxury.
