When you feel it becoming a challenge to find or keep peace, think of all the things you should be grateful for. Don’t dwell on negative moments, creating a bad day for yourself. Find things that make the day great as time passes; whether it be complimenting someone else, decorating, writing out inspirational quotes, praying, or speaking life into yourself, do what makes you happy. You create your happiness and are in control of your world. You control the controllable by removing negative people and energy from your space. Regardless as to whether this includes family or close friends, if it disrupts your peace, let go and move on. God did not create you to be unhappy, regardless of the circumstances, but he created you to have this human experience and to have peace through any situation or storm. Trust Him and trust your process.
