With the COVID-19 outbreak, there’s no doubt that we’ve all been impacted globally in some way, shape, or form. Whether it’s battling with the virus, losing a job, having to cancel major events, or suffering as an entrepreneur, the strain on our physical, mental and financial wellness has been pretty mind-boggling. It feels like all we did was blink and our lives changed so quickly, with seemingly no time to prepare!

As a small business owner (SBO) myself, I understand how tough these weeks of uncertainty and loss have been for a lot of us. Thankfully, there’s been a growing amount of support out there for entrepreneurs and SBOs who’ve been hit hard during this time of major change. Plus, as information regarding the new federal stimulus package continues to unfold, our hopes for more federal support for SBOs during this time just might be fulfilled.

Listed below are a few brands and entities that are committed to supporting small business owners financially through grants and relief programs! If you need help paying your employees, your studio space rent, or covering other major business expenses, you should definitely check these out! Facebook 

Facebook’s Small Business Grants Program is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses. Applications will be opening soon, so be sure to sign up for updates and be the first to know when the apps are available! Click here for more information.

Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils

Natural hair care brand, Aunt Jackie’s, will be donating a total of $10,000 to students, ages 25 or younger, and single-parent families directly affected by the COVID-19 crisis. To apply to Aunt Jackie’s Coronavirus Crisis Response Fund, you’ll need to

Pyer Moss

Up-and-coming and luxury men’s fashion label, Pyer Moss by designer Kerby Jean-Raymond is setting aside $50,000 for minority and women-owned small businesses who can’t make payroll or cover pressing costs during this time. Bumble

Popular dating and social networking app, Bumble is giving up to $5,000 for various businesses affected by COVID-19. To be considered for the Bumble Community Grant, you’ll need to tell the Bumble team about yourself, your business, why you’re applying, and how you plan to utilize the grant. Small Business Administration

The U.S. Small Business Administration provides funding support, counseling, and additional resources to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Explore their site for national and local assistance and expertise that are offered in your area. The Small Business Administration’s low-interest “Economic Injury Disaster Loan” program is open to small businesses in all states to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue.
