Get ready to go onto a musicial journey with GG Townson and Laila Odom! The premiere of Lifetime’s Salt-N-Pepa will take place tomorrow on the network at 8 PM EST.
Follow along the journey of Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton as they enter the world of rap and hip-hop. The iconic duo is one of the most impactful groups in music. This project will give in inside look at how the group became the first female rap act to go platinum! You’ll witness their experience to success and how they paved the way for female rappers to this very day. There will be performances featured from the group which include their hit singles such as “Let’s Talk About Sex,” “What a Man,” “Push It,” and more!
This project is produced by Sony Picture Television, directed by Mario Van Peebles, and written by Abdul Williams. Robert Teitel, Cheryl James, Sandra Denton, Shakim Compere, and Queen Latifah serve as executive producers while it is co-produced by Hurby Azor. Sebastian Dungan serves as the Lifetime executive in charge of production.
There will also be a Salt-N-Pepa interview special taking place after the premiere on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at 11 PM on Lifetime.
