For the first time in almost four years, the Oscars will have a host — indeed, three hosts, as the Academy confirmed Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall, and Amy Schumer will preside over the 2022 ceremony.
Since 2018, the ceremony has been without a host. The 2022 Academy Awards, which Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes will co-host on March 27, will be the first time two individuals of color have co-hosted in the same year. They’ll join a shortlist of black Oscar hosts, including Diana Ross, Richard Pryor, Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock, and the first black Oscar host, Sammy Davis, Jr.
