Beauty lovers rushed down to 262 Mott Street in the West Village for the limited one weekend pop-up event with Clarins Beauty on Sunday, May 4th from 11AM-7PM. The event wrapped in bubble gum pink velvet rope to hold a line of excited fans of the Parisian brand. The line took up a city block separating across the street to the event. The wait time of to get into the pop-up was thirty minutes.

Clarins, which is owned by L’Oréal, since 2020, was first a spa in Paris by Jacques Courtin in 1954. The story behind Clarins it is based off a character he played in a school play.  Now 70 years later, Clarins is one of the world’s most iconic skincare and joined L’Oréal to refocused their energy. The brand is infamous for using 80% natural ingredients and 250 natural plant extracts in their formulas

The western theme event that included the Clarins cowboys and cowgirls, took you to a next-level experience in their red and pink saloon, offering beauty services and other fun services for shoppers.

As you enter the saloon, you come in contact with the life-size Clains Lip Oil display. The Clarins Comfort Hydrating and Plumping Lip Oil is a holy grail in the Clarins line since 2014. Now the lip oil has expanded into eight new shades, including Honey, Raspberry, Cherry, Pitaya, Apricot, Chocolate, Strawberry, Fig, Plum, and the new and limited anniversary red shade, LE Lip. Shoppers were treated to free sample travel sizes of Clarins Total Firming and Smoothing Anti-Aging Eye Cream or Clarins Purifying Toning Lotion while waiting in line.

As you continue into the floor-to-wall red and pink saloon with floor size mirrors with messages like “Pucker Up, Buttercup!”  and covered in red and pink balloons displays and white showgirl feathers. Shoppers stop to speak to Clarins beauty experts, where they get a beauty analysis on what products to buy to match their skin tone and eye color. 

The display covered in red candles gave shoppers a chance to try on the Clarins lip oils and beauty products.  Their beauty analysis was provided on the Clarins beauty card and can be used across the next display, where there were limited gift sets for purchase.

In the saloon, shoppers got to enjoy the fun amenities like free Clarins temporary tattoos, with a choice of red lips, red cowboy boot, and the message “Howdy Honey!” with pink lips stamp. There was an old-school red and pink photo booth for free photos with your friends, and a saloon bar with free drinks, called the Swig bar.

The drink choices include The OG that include Diet Coke, sugar free coconut, coconut cream and fresh lime, The Pucker Up, which was a mountain Dew, Raspberry and Vanilla Cream and edible glitter, The Clarins Cowgirl, that included Sprite, Pineapple Puree and Coconut cream and the Rodeo Rendezvous, that includes a Sprite, Strawberry Puree, Mojito Mint, fresh lime, fresh mint and coconut cream. All drinks came with a choice of regular or diet soda.

As the music blasted and shoppers partied, they enjoyed taking photos and selfies in front of the floor-sized Clarins mirror and the saloons red swing doors. The walls were covered with red and pink cowboy hats, Clarins Wanted beauty posters. With a purchase of over $50, enjoy limited edition merchandise, gifted with the purchase, which includes a Clairns t-shirt and tote bag for the event.

The fun and immersive experience was a complete sensational daydream with shoppers leaving with many bags and an overall entertaining experience. The limited weekend event was heading into their last day, but the Clarins cowgirls made sure to bid you farewell with the message “Thanks for coming now, come back now!”
