Detroit rapper and actress Kash Doll has experienced a lot of growth as an artist, mother, and woman after spending more than a decade in the rap game. She burst onto the scene with her confident style and delivery, something that Kash Doll has made into her signature style.

The entertainer, born Arkeisha Antoinette Knight, is currently performing in support of her sophomore album, The Last Doll, which showcases all of her growth. The album boasts features from her peers like Tee Grizzley, Tink, Yung Bleu, and more. It features the popular singles “Kash Kommandments,” “Nothin New,” and “Klarity.”

The multifaceted entertainer has evolved beyond music, recently announcing that she’ll be joining the third season of the legal drama Reasonable Doubt on Hulu as a recurring guest star. The show is currently in production, and an air date has not been announced. This comes after her breakout role in BMF and appearances in Empire and BET’s Diarra From Detroit.

In addition to being a rapper and actress, Kash Doll uses her influence for good. The philanthropist gives back through her nonprofit, Fairy Boss Mother.

Sheen spoke with Kash Doll at The Fonda Theatre ahead of her Los Angeles show.

You got any pre-show rituals?

I know that most of the time I need to sit in the dressing room for 10 minutes by myself.

Are you meditating?

I reserve my energy. Because I’m about to give so much and receive so much, I have to woosah.

3 things you need on your rider at all times?

I need my kids’ toys, ice water, and fruit.

What kind of fruit?

Grapes.

Where are the babies at?

They are with my sisters.. I just left them. They’re in Florida, and I came out here. I gotta work, but they’re coming back with me for BET.

What was your craziest pregnancy craving?

You know what? I didn’t have bad cravings. I know that I was in love with Cookie Crisp, and I have to have ice in my milk.

Do you cook?

Sometimes, I don’t cook all the time. I’m always on the go.

Do you have a favorite restaurant in LA?

In LA, Crustacean’s.

Everyone says that. Eric Bellinger said that.

Because they got this good noodle and crab. It’s so good.

In-N-Out or Whataburger?

In-n-Out.

Favorite song to perform?

It’s gotta be between “Here I Go,” “For Everybody,” “Kash Kommandments.” Between those.

What’s the number one Kash Kommandment?

Put your family first. Put that in front of everything.

What’s your love language?

All of them. Because all of them make sense. We got quality time. I need to spend all the time with my man. I want to be with my man. I want to get in his skin. Gifts. I love gifts. And I like giving gifts. I have to have that. And then another one is physical touch. We’re not even gonna talk about that. That’s gotta happen all the time. Acts of service. And then the last one is what?

Words of affirmation.

Come on now. I want it all. Give it all to me.

Congrats on Reasonable Doubt. How are we feeling? Sis is in her acting bag.

Yes, I’m happy.

What are you most excited about?

Just for people to see me in a different light. Acting is a different person..

Last question, highlight from BMF?

When I died. That has to be my biggest role. That was hard for me. Because I died, I hate saying that, and then I had to come back to work the next day to do another scene. Y’all should have made that my last damn scene. What the hell? And the time where I fought Lamar in the bathroom.
