Acclaimed jazz vocalist, dynamic performer, and passionate brain health advocate Elijah Rock made a powerful visual and cultural statement with the debut of his digital billboard in Times Square, heralding the release of his emotionally resonant new album Memories Unleashed – Impulse 1.
Available now on all major streaming platforms and digital retailers.

Beaming high above the bustling crowds, the digital billboard places Rock—and his mission—center stage in one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.

The bold, eye-catching display is not just a celebration of artistry, but a call to action for Alzheimer’s and brain health awareness.

“To see my face and message lighting up Times Square, even from afar, was incredibly moving,” said Rock. “It’s more than a dream realized—it’s a reminder that music can touch hearts and change lives. I hope this moment brings light to those who are struggling with memory loss and inspires action, compassion, and awareness.”

Released on May 3rd, Memories Unleashed – Impulse 1 is produced by Rayford Griffin and arranged by Todd Hunter, bringing new depth and vitality to the Great American Songbook.

The album features masterful interpretations of enduring classics including “Route 66,” “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Unforgettable,” “Here’s To Life,” “I Just Found Out About Love,” and “Is You Is or Is You Ain’t My Baby.”

It also includes the evocative spoken-word track “Memories Unleashed – A Word Spoken,” the poignant “Dedicated To You,” and a breathtaking duet with Antonia Bennett on “On a Clear Day,” celebrating legacy, love, and the power of connection.

Driven by both personal experience and professional commitment, the album is a deeply intimate tribute to Rock’s late father, who bravely battled Alzheimer’s.

His artistry is matched by advocacy, as he works to spark meaningful dialogue about dementia and memory loss—issues that disproportionately affect underserved communities.

Rock is not only an artist but also a fellow for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) at UCSF, where he collaborates with leading experts including Dr. Bruce Miller and Dr. Charles Windon.

His work with GBHI helps amplify his voice as a global advocate for cognitive health and cultural equity.

Proceeds from Memories Unleashed – Impulse 1 benefit the Elijah Rock Foundation Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to brain health education and advocacy, especially within communities where Alzheimer’s and dementia are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or unaddressed.
