Sydney’s biggest pop culture event, Supanova Comic Con 2025, took over the Sydney Showground Olympic Park on June 21-22, delivering an unforgettable weekend packed with celebrity appearances, engaging panels, cosplay competitions, and exclusive merchandise. Fans from across Australia and beyond flocked to celebrate everything from film and TV to comics and gaming.

The highlight was Sam Heughan from Outlander, who captivated fans with his exclusive “Kilted and Distilled” event—an intimate whisky tasting where fans had VIP access to one-on-one time with him, photos, and special experiences. He also shared exciting updates about his upcoming book tour and revealed that in October, he will star in the Macbeth play in London, showcasing his incredible stage talent.

Heughan is also known for his Peak Challenge, a charity initiative now in its tenth year. Anyone can join, and he has already raised over $8 million for children’s charities, including support for children with cancer. Recently, Heughan completed a grueling 26-mile London Marathon to raise even more awareness and funds for children battling blood cancers and other illnesses.
