There’s something electric about SIMIEN, and it’s not just their genre-bending Urban Electro-Pop sound. This dynamic girl group, made up of real-life sisters Taédym, Jaiden, and Kamrein, doesn’t just share bloodlines; they share bold vision, sharp lyrics, and creative control over every detail of their artistry, including styling themselves from head to toe.

Named after their last name, SIMIEN isn’t just a title, it’s a legacy in motion. These three powerhouse women have just dropped their debut single “Utterly in Love” on Konvict Kulture, the iconic label newly revived by Akon. Blending fearless vocals and unapologetic self-expression, SIMIEN is ushering in a new era of sisterhood-fueled sound, one harmony, one beat, and one bold move at a time.

Who would you say is a SIMIEN fan?

Taédym: People who just want to express themselves. Also, people who have a lot to say and feel, but don’t know how to put it into words. They want to feel understood.

I heard there’s a funny backstory to the song “Utterly in Love”. What can you share with us about that?

Jaiden: So, basically, there’s this guy who was sending messages back and forth to two of us and saying the same thing. He said that “he was utterly in love with both of us”. He thought that we wouldn’t show each other as sisters. That’s where the idea came from; we then made it broader and took in different situations from other people.

What’s it like working with the iconic Akon?

Jaiden: Oh my gosh, so much fun. He’s like family to us. He’s such an icon.

Taédym: He’s shown us a lot and taught us a lot. Every single time we’ve worked with him in the studio or even in a business setting, he just allows us to be ourselves.

Kamrein: Our workflow is very consistent and very fun.

What would you want anyone who reads this article to know about you, outside of being a music artist?

Taédym: We love going to amusement parks, we paint, we love to act, we love to create clothes and films.

Jaiden: We love to play video games and watch Anime.

What’s a personality trait that you think you bring to the group dynamic on stage and off?

Jaiden: I can be very hands-on, and it can come off mean sometimes, but I’m just very passionate about things. When I’m working or doing anything that has to do with business, I’m very emotional and strong about it. Off stage, I’m the opposite. I’m very peaceful and quiet.

Taédym: On stage, I feel like I bring unforgettable lyrics. Then off stage, I’m like the mom. I make sure everything is going smoothly and make sure that they’re okay. At the same time, I have to do what I have to do and keep it together. I’m the protector in that way.

Kamrein: On stage, I’m very confident, we all are. I just try to make sure everyone’s in confident mode and very fierce. Off stage, I’m very goofy and funny, and very strong.

What’s going on with SIMIEN as of late?

Taédym: We’ve just dropped “Utterly in Love,” that’s been very anticipated for a while now. We’re pushing that and also coming out with more singles that we’re super, super, super excited to share with our fan base of SIMINATI’s.

Who would you say are your musical influences?

Jaiden: Lana Del Rey and Rihanna.

Kamrein: Aaliyah and Diane Atwood.

Taédym: Kid Cudi and Celine Dion.

What would you say has been the most memorable point of your career so far?

Kamrein: I would say, when we performed with Akon at the Hard Rock. That was our first time performing on stage and in front of a lot of people. It was a very big moment for us.

Taédym: Also being in settings where we have to stand our ground, say what we believe in, and still kill it at the end of the day. With grace and peace, bending but not breaking.

What do you hope to bring to the next generation who aspire to become music artists as well?

Kamrein: Just be unapologetically yourself. You’re going to be going through so much in this industry, and that just comes with it. Keep it real with yourself and with people. Always remember to keep your faith, faith is a good thing to have, especially when coming into the industry.

Jaiden: Don’t be discouraged by anybody’s words. Just because they don’t see it doesn’t mean that someone else won’t. That’s very important, especially being in this industry, and anything that you do in life that you are passionate about, just be really honest with yourself. And just keep going.

Taédym: To new and upcoming artists, I would say, make sure that your heart is really in it because it will be tested nonstop. It’s something that you’re going to have to want; it has to be a passion. You have to want it more than the people around you. And have thick skin.

What would you like to say to the SIMINATIs out there?

All: We love you guys!

Jaiden: We love our fans, our supporters. Keep rocking on, it’s just the beginning.

Taédym: We’re so excited to share our SIMINATI’s what we have in store for the next couple of singles, and the next things that we have planned.
