For Promise B Mae, success has never been about simply building businesses. It’s about building movements. This August, the media mogul and founder of the Black woman-led streaming platform The Nyx Network is taking her unstoppable energy to a new frontier: the beauty industry. Her latest venture, Baddies R Us, is an all-pink luxury salon and beauty bar that brings a touch of glam — and a whole lot of purpose — to the very community where she grew up.

Launched in celebration of Black Business Month, Baddies R Us proudly carries the unapologetic slogan Bringing Luxury to the Hood.” Inside its blush-toned walls, clients will find a full-service menu — licensed hairstyling, makeup artistry, lash extensions, nail design, and more. But Promise B Mae is doing more than creating a beauty destination. She’s creating a cultural hub.

“This is more than a salon, it’s a movement,” says Promise. “I wanted to create a space where beauty meets opportunity. A place that elevates the culture, creates jobs, and inspires the next generation to dream bigger.”

True to her roots in media and entertainment, Promise is doubling the salon’s impact by turning it into a live set for her latest reality TV project. The cameras will follow the energy, artistry, and behind-the-scenes hustle of the stylists, clients, and personalities that make beauty more than an industry — it’s a lifestyle.

If anyone can pull it off, it’s Promise B Mae. She built The Box Detox into a six-figure wellness brand, created Buss Down Hair Goddess by Nyx, and launched Nyx Auto Sales, all while breaking ground as the powerhouse behind The Nyx Network and its hit series . Her work has been spotlighted by CNBC, appeared in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, VH1, and gone viral on social media, and streamed to audiences nationwide.

Sacramento-born and Los Angeles-based, Promise B Mae has earned her reputation as a fearless entrepreneur and activist who uses her businesses to empower her community. Whether it’s entertainment, wellness, or now beauty, her brands all share a common thread: creating opportunities while elevating the culture.

With Baddies R Us, Promise is proving that luxury doesn’t belong to the elite — it belongs wherever ambition lives. And this time, ambition is wearing pink.

Baddies R Us is currently hiring licensed hair stylists, makeup artists, lash technicians, nail artists, and estheticians. Those looking to join Promise’s vision are encouraged to submit a résumé and a 60-second video to hiring@baddiesrussalon.com explaining why they belong on the team.
