Muneera Page and Alaina Saulsberry dish on the new OWN series and what fans can expect as the drama unfolds.
It’s only three episodes in, but OWN’s newest hit, Heart & Hustle: Houston, is already sizzling. Premiering August 2nd, the show follows six powerhouse women balancing business, family, love, and friendship—all while redefining what it means to hustle in H-Town. With careers ranging from beauty to engineering to event planning, these women are building empires while navigating the challenges of sisterhood, self-discovery, and life in the spotlight.
Two of the standout stars, Alaina Saulsberry (“H-Town’s Glam Girl”) and Muneera Page (“Mrs. Perfect”), sat down with Sheen Magazine to talk about what’s happening on-screen, how they balance their real lives behind the cameras, and why things are about to get even hotter this season.
Let’s get to know Alaina Saulsberry & Muneera Page
Sheen: Ladies, congratulations on Heart & Hustle: Houston! How are you both feeling about the show and this amazing new chapter?
Alaina Saulsberry: It feels surreal! I’ve been building my brand and mentoring in the beauty space for years, but seeing this part of my life play out on TV is a whole new experience. My family, my business, my personal journey—it’s all out there. It’s exciting but also a little nerve-wracking.
Muneera Page: Same here. For me, it’s been about letting people see a different side of me. I’m so used to being “Mrs. Perfect,” the one who has it all together, but this show has pushed me to be vulnerable in ways I wasn’t always comfortable with. Watching it back, I’m proud because I know I’m growing.
Sheen: So, how does it feel letting cameras into your lives in a way that you never have before? What does this mean for you?
Alaina: (laughs) Let’s just say the stakes are higher—personally and professionally. For me, you’ll see how I’m navigating being a wife, a mom, and a CEO, but also figuring out what I need as a woman. That balance isn’t always easy, and sometimes things clash in unexpected ways.
Muneera: Absolutely. For me, it’s about peeling back layers. You’ll see me working on being more open and less guarded. That’s not easy for someone who’s been conditioned to always be “on point.” There are moments this season where I surprise myself.
Sheen: Alaina, you’ve built Color du Jour into a powerhouse beauty empire. How do you balance being “H-Town’s Glam Girl” with being a wife and mom?
Alaina: Honestly, some days I nail it, and some days it’s a struggle. My kids keep me grounded—they don’t care if I just finished a huge beauty campaign; they want mommy. And my marriage? That’s an evolving story, too. I’ve been married nearly 15 years, and as much as I love being a boss, I also want peace at home. Sometimes those two things don’t align perfectly, and that’s real life.
Sheen: Muneera, you’ve had an incredible career in engineering and now content creation. How do you bring that duality into the show?
Muneera: Engineering taught me discipline and precision, but content creation taught me to connect and inspire. I’ve partnered with over 500 brands, but what I really want people to see on the show is my humanity. I’m a mom of four, including twins!—a wife, and a woman still evolving. My story is about breaking down emotional walls, not just building careers.
Sheen: That’s powerful. Now, reality TV always comes with surprises. What has surprised you most about filming this journey?
Alaina: How quickly you forget the cameras are there! (laughs) You think you’ll be guarded, but when you’re with women you bond with, you just live your life. The emotions, the laughter, even the tears—they’re all real.
Muneera: I agree. I was surprised by how much the sisterhood matters. Yes, we’re all strong, independent women, but having that circle of support in Houston has been game-changing for me.
Sheen: Fans are already hooked. What do you hope viewers take away from Heart & Hustle: Houston as the season heats up?
Alaina: I hope they see that you can be a boss and still be human. You don’t have to have it all figured out to be inspiring.
Muneera: And I want people to know that perfection is a myth. It’s okay to evolve, to be vulnerable, to admit you don’t have it all together. That’s where the real growth happens.
Sheen: Love that. Last question—describe the rest of this season in one word.
Alaina: Transformational.
Muneera: Fire.
Heart & Hustle: Houston airs on OWN and is proving to be the summer’s must-watch reality series. With passion, perseverance, and plenty of personality, these women are showing the world that Houston hustle hits differently.
