Angela Stanton-King; author, activist, and founder of the nonprofit Auntie Angie’s House hosted her first-ever “Life and Legacy” Gala, an unforgettable evening celebrating healing, transformation, and generational change.

The gala brought together community leaders, survivors, philanthropists, and policy influencers to raise awareness for Angela’s mission: providing transitional housing and holistic support for women reentering society after incarceration, abuse, or trauma.

The event was more than a fundraiser—it was a movement.

From the red carpet arrival to heartfelt speeches and live performances, the “Life and Legacy” Gala offered a platform for testimonies of triumph and purpose. Angela Stanton-King shared her own personal journey from incarceration to Congress—and highlighted how Auntie Angie’s House is changing lives through sisterhood, structure, and second chances.

Guests were inspired by the presence of formerly incarcerated women who have found hope and stability through the program, making it clear that the mission is personal, and the impact is real.

Throughout the evening, guests were reminded that building a legacy isn’t about status but that it’s about service. Angela honored key figures who have supported reentry programs, restorative justice initiatives, and advocacy for marginalized women.

With proceeds from the event going directly to fund transitional housing, mentorship, mental health services, and job placement programs, Angela Stanton-King made one thing clear: “We’re not waiting for change. We are the change.”

As Auntie Angie’s House continues its powerful work in communities across the country, the “Life and Legacy” Gala stands as a testament to what happens when compassion, purpose, and advocacy intersect.
