What was the inspiration behind your book?
Courtney: Stronger Every Day was born from experience. As a former D1 athlete, wife, mom of five, and mental health advocate, I’ve lived the highs and the silent struggles. I created the guide I wish I had growing up.
Do you believe in work-life balance? If so, how do you maintain it?
Courtney: Absolutely. For me, it’s faith, family, and fierce boundaries. I calendar quiet time, unapologetically rest, and let God lead—especially when things get heavy.
Why is the conversation surrounding mental health so important?
Courtney: Because silence can be deadly. Mental health is the root of how we show up in life, and young women deserve tools, not shame, when navigating emotional weight.
What can society as a whole do to encourage young women?
Courtney: See them. Really, see them. Celebrate their strength without demanding perfection. Provide safe spaces, mentorship, and resources that validate who they are and what they’re becoming.
When it comes to community relations, what causes or organizations do you give back to?
Courtney: I pour into organizations focused on youth development, mental health awareness, and housing stability. Whether it’s offering basketball clinics, hosting mental health summits, or supporting homeless outreach, I believe in being boots on the ground.
