Yasmine Sahid is a name you’re going to want to remember. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Yasmine was that kid who loved musical theater, the kind who lit up every stage from elementary school all the way through high school. She always knew she was meant for something bigger, and she wasn’t afraid to go for it.

With the support of her mother, she made a deal. If she could live in Los Angeles and go to school, she’d give it everything she had. And she did! Yasmine attended Loyola Marymount University and earned her degree in Theater Arts, ready to take on the industry. But like so many of us, life had “other plans” for us. Between the pandemic and a lack of opportunity, things didn’t play out how she imagined. So, Yasmine did what all true creatives do, and she created her own lane. She started making TikTok videos, and one day, something clicked. A video went viral! Then another. And she just kept going.

What makes Yasmine special isn’t just her just talent, it’s her drive, her consistency, and her light. She’s hosted red carpets, captured hearts on social media, and now, she’s bringing that same energy to our television screens as the newest cast member of Overcompensating, the Amazon Prime show created by Benito Skinner.

Yasmine’s secret to being grounded in the fast paced world of Hollywood, is the unwavering support of her family and friends. Even as her star continues to rise, she never loses sight of where she comes from. Let Yasmine’s story serve as a reminder that when the doors don’t open, you build your own. From Milwaukee to L.A., from TikTok to Prime Video, she’s doing it her way! We’re just beginning to see who Yasmine Sahid truly is, and let me tell you, the best is yet to come!
