Gabrielle Walsh is a purpose-driven actress known for bringing depth to high-stakes roles across television. She is most known for her roles in shows like The Vampire Diaries, Shameless, and Close Enough, she now stars as Lacey in the NBC and Peacock drama Found. The Chicago native’s love for performance started early, rooted in a moment that confirmed her calling. She still remembers the rush of making her classmates laugh during a school play. With just one line, she made the moment count by intentionally messing up the ABCs and shouting out local radio stations instead.

“I was like AB 96, WGCI, and everyone started laughing. I felt seen. I felt the reciprocity of enjoyment,” said Walsh.

That moment was a turning point for Walsh, opening the door to her passion for acting. It sparked a realization that humor and performance could connect her with others in ways that made her feel seen and valued. Her journey into acting was deeply influenced by her background and experiences, such as watching movies that her dad would put on, like those starring Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, and Clark Gable.

I fell in love with being on stage,” said Walsh. I fell in love with having that interaction and engagement with the audience.”

Gabrielle Walsh’s self-awareness and depth of character have become key strengths in her work. In Found, she brings a raw and emotional portrayal to her role as Lacey. Created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, the show delves into the complex themes of being lost, found, and healed. Walsh’s performance highlights her character’s journey through profound trauma, offering a nuanced and compassionate perspective as Lacey supports others in their own healing.

Walsh’s portrayal of Lacey on Found adds a layer of light and hope to the series. “I hope that through watching Found and following Lacey’s journey, people realize that healing isn’t linear,” Walsh shared. “It’s about trusting the process and never, ever letting go of the light and love in your heart.

Off-screen, Walsh is equally committed to purpose-driven work. She’s been working with Hope Through Housing Foundation, a nonprofit that’s part of a low-income housing development organization. The group provides more than just a place to live. It offers programs for kids and seniors, helping them get familiar with new technology, offering support systems, and creating safe spaces for children after school.

“Community is everything,” said Walsh. “Your home is everything. I’m really excited to be working with them and to see more of what we can create together and how I can support.”
