Netflix Renews Kenya Barris’ ‘#blackAF’ Series For Season 2

Deadline has reported that Kenya Barris’ #blackAF Netflix series is returning for a second season and we are all excited.

The renewal comes days after it was reported that Barris was teaming up with “Happy” singer and former The Voice judge, Pharrell Williams. The two are working on developing a Juneteenth musical feature for the streaming service.

Barris told the Deadline, “I won’t really, really, really get into it until we’re in the room because I want it to be fresh, but I definitely know I want to talk about real shit. We want it to be really special.”
