Watch the dark, cinematic video HERE
Platinum-selling recording artist Cory Gunz returns with a striking new visual for the remix of Doechii’s “Anxiety” featuring Militia labelmate Dashii. The video can be watched HERE.
In the visual, shot by W.H.Y N.O.T Productions, the acclaimed lyricist unleashes pure verbal chaos from inside the walls of an abandoned asylum as the Militia crew (Cory Gunz, RMK and Dashii) re-enact a scene from the Austin Powers movie franchise, adding an unexpected layer of satire and psychological nuance. The visual amplifies the track’s urgent tone, using dim lighting and symbolic imagery to paint the experience of inner conflict.
This isn’t just an ordinary freestyle—it’s a mental warzone, where paranoia and pressure collide with raw talent and grit. Cory Gunz reminds the world why he’s still one of the most dangerous MCs in the game. With this release, Gunz not only showcases his lyrical prowess but reasserts his position as a deeply introspective voice in rap.
The “Anxiety Freestyle” comes shortly after Gunz joined hip-hop icon Lil Wayne for a long-awaited conversation on the latest episode of Young Money Radio. The interview marked a reunion between two of the most lyrically respected voices in the game, as Wayne introduced the new iteration of the Young Money roster to the world.
During the conversation Wayne asked Cory what keeps him motivated after being in the game for nearly 20 years. Cory responded, “Family and the love for the art,” The Bronx native continues, “It’s nothing like, you get that line, you hit that melody. It’s a science to the execution of what we do.”
Cory’s interview with the YMCMB head honcho follows a string of hard-hitting releases such as The Militia, Loosie Pack 3, Loosie Pack 2 and Loosie Pack, along withcollaborations with Grafh and others. Now, Cory Gunz continues his momentum as he gears up for the release of The Militia Vol. 2, Top Gun and Loosie Pack 4 coming this summer!
