This choir was founded on March 2012 by Traci “Eboni” Brown, the Continuity Director at 102.3 KJLH Radio. KJLH Radio Free Voices is a vibrant community gospel choir based in Southern California, with twenty-five talented vocalists and musicians from diverse backgrounds.
Radio Free Voices has ministered at many local churches and community events and graced numerous stages across the Los Angeles region. The choir’s dynamic presence has also been felt at significant events such as the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Los Angeles, World AIDS Day commemorations,  Disney’s Celebrate Gospel during Black History Month, and Taste of Soul.
Radio Free Voices also has the honor of sharing the stage with an array of esteemed artists, including Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Childish Gambino, Justin Bieber, Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Dorinda Clark, and Charles Jenkins. After performing at Stevie Wonder’s House Full of Toys Benefit Concert, he changed the choir’s name from KJLH Choir to Free Radio Voices.
Beyond live performances, the choir has appeared on national platforms such as Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and a Ford Expedition commercial. They have also performed the National Black Anthem at LA Chargers games, showcasing their versatility and broad appeal.

In their musical journey, Radio Free Voices has released four singles, including “Plans” featuring Cornell Lamar and “No Turning Back,” which is currently being played on radio stations nationwide.  Their current debut album, “Don’t Take Your Spirit Away,” and newest single, “I Know It Was the Blood,” are under the direction of choir director Tyanta Snow.
