Fashion, Culture, and Global Glamour Lit Up the British Virgin Islands

TORTOLA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS —
The British Virgin Islands came alive with electrifying style and island elegance as Summer Sizzle BVI 2025 marked its 15th anniversary with an unforgettable celebration of fashion, culture, and community. From July 24–27, the four-day extravaganza welcomed guests from across the globe to experience high fashion fused with Caribbean charm.

✨ Global Glamour Runway Show: An Ode to Style & Heritage
Held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, the marquee Global Glamour Runway Show stunned audiences with bold tailoring, unique silhouettes, and rich cultural storytelling. This year’s theme, inspired by the Met Gala’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” honored the impact and precision of Black fashion innovators.

Co-hosted by Neil Dawson, an actor with BVI roots whose charisma and hometown pride lit up the stage, and Lana Rae, a powerhouse stylist and producer known for her visionary work across media, the evening celebrated diverse voices and dynamic style.

The runway came alive with curated collections from celebrated designers around the world:

Menswear Icons

• Brandon Gray (Los Angeles): Brought Hollywood-level sophistication fresh off the Met Gala red carpet
• Chuk Collins (Nigeria/UK): Reimagined tailoring with sharp avant-garde finesse
• STANLION CLOTHING (Cameroon): Delivered regal structure and elegance
• Andrew Nowell (Washington, DC): Blended tradition with contemporary cool

International Powerhouses

• Sergio Hudson (Los Angeles): Sleek, statement silhouettes from the celebrity favorite

• Korto Momolu (Liberia): Vibrant textures and unapologetic cultural pride
• Cesar Galindo, David Rolle, Jaer Caban, and David Antonio offered bold artistry from New York, The Bahamas, and Puerto Rico

Moda Minx, Sundek, Carlton Jones, and the BVI’s own The Islander Swim Collection by Andrea Wilson captivated the runway with vibrant, tropical designs that celebrated island elegance and effortless resort style.

👶 Youth Take the Stage

The energetic and inspiring Kids Show, styled by celebrity stylist Khaliah Clark, showcased playful sophistication and emerging talent, proving the next generation of fashion stars are already making waves.

 📣Beyond the Runway

From the scenic Hike BVI Adventure and luxe Welcome Dinner at Loose Mongoose to the White Masquerade Gala and Sizzle Saturdaze pop-up market, each event introduced participants of the beauty and diverse culture the BVI brings from coast to coast. Sunday’s scenic beach celebration on Jost Van Dyke wrapped the weekend in barefoot bliss.
