What was one of your most challenging obstacles or experiences that you had to get past to maintain your business?

Many! I’ve had several betrayals in business. I’ve had a business stolen from me by an ex-employee of mine. A lot of this is on my website, whoissnoop.com, but the biggest thing is just to keep going to transform and not let those things stand in the way of the long-term goal, which is success. Number two, a good rule of thumb, every entrepreneur should know, always invest in mentorship.

What were some pivotal moments in your childhood that molded you into the entrepreneur that you are today?

I got pregnant with my daughter at a young age. I got pregnant with her at 14, had her at 15. I always had somebody for most of my life who looked up to me, to be taken care of. That just gave me an edge early on.

What advice would you offer to parents when raising children in terms of having them on the right track to become successful adults?

I would say, man, stay locked in. Make sure you know your kids, their friends, what they’re involved in, and what they have going on. Pry, get into their business and just have a relationship where they feel comfortable coming to you and talking to you.

Where do you see the future development of entrepreneurs in the city?

Atlanta is a great city for entrepreneurs. I always say that I probably would not have reached the pinnacle of success that I have if it weren’t for being in a city like Atlanta, which breeds and supports entrepreneurs, especially minority entrepreneurs, where it is like coming from a city like Nashville, where that was not the case. I see entrepreneurs continuing to grow and thrive here, and continuing to be more and more programs, more and more conferences that share knowledge when it comes to entrepreneurship.

So, you have to constantly be evolving and changing so that you have something that says your business stands out. What is an industry you wouldn’t mind trying your luck in and why?

Definitely TV and film, which I just got into. I’ve always wanted to be on TV and in film. I’ve just been too busy doing it. This time with my reality show, you know, I got in front of the camera, but I look forward to more executive producing and directing in the future. You know, I’m a storyteller. I love to write. I love movies and TV shows. So, it’s just very fitting for me.
