What inspired you to write your book, The Authorities?

I wrote The Authorities to show the array of various authorities in various fields. The book is a collaboration of knowledge and features leaders sharing their knowledge on business, relationships, and introspective on life.

By looking at and learning from different authorities, you can gain different perspectives to solve problems and find other creative avenues to help you scale your life and business. Showcasing legendary authorities such as Les Brown, Dr. John Grey, and Raymond Aaron is a way of showing appreciation to these individuals for taking the time to contribute to my book.

What surprised you the most about writing The Authorities?

When writing a collaborative book, you are blessed with expanding your network with outstanding like-minded people.

How can you help people achieve their goals by utilizing your expertise?

There is power in writing. Write it out. Writing it down and writing it out allows you to organize your thoughts as it has a profound effect on your level of perspective and thinking. You can elevate your intellectual awareness by simply writing.

What advice would you give to a new writer?

Write from your heart and not from your head. You are more than capable of writing your book. Honor your courage, bravery, and stamina to share your message with others. You’ll know when your book is completed.

When you have the inclination to be an aspiring writer, become one. Shift your thoughts that you are now a writer and start writing your story. Deepen your self-knowledge by expressing yourself through writing. You can change other people’s lives for the better by sharing your insights.

When did you consider yourself a writer?

I thought of writing numerous books for many years. It wasn’t until the beginning of last year that I thought, “The time is now to be a writer.” It was time to articulate the message in my head and write it down on paper.

What does success mean to you?

Success is feeling proud of yourself. It’s feeling happy and joyful along the journey when you’re achieving your desired results. Honoring yourself that you did it, that you accomplished what you intended to turn into reality. Success occurs when you’re in alignment with your life journey.

How do you deal with the emotional impact of writing a book about yourself as you write the story?

Remembering my why as to why I’m writing the book helps me stay content in being vulnerable as I continue sharing my story with the world. Sharing my story is part of my healing journey and my life journey moving toward becoming more of my authentic self to myself and others.

What sense of purpose have you drawn from your culture and community?

It really does take an entire village to raise an individual. You can go far alone, but you can go further, faster, and stronger with supportive people. Lean into the community and ask for support if you need it. Your community has the best intentions for you to become the best version of yourself.

How do you use your expertise and experience to empower women?

My advice is to become comfortable with who you truly are today and not with any other illusion. Life’s transformational shifts occur when you embrace an alternative perspective of thought with everything in life. The slightest shift of any thought can either retract you on your life’s path or propel you forward to live your abundant lifestyle today.
