Otis Williams, Paul Williams, Melvin Franklin, Eddie Kendricks, and David Ruffin made up the iconic group, The Temptations. The Peace Center in Greenville, SC soared as the legendary group showcased the whirlwind story filled with triumph, trials, and tribulations. The stage was lit up to perfection from the very first scene. The lights, the moving pieces, and the fantastic cast – these Temptations were played by Marcus Paul James, James T. Lane, Harrell Holmes Jr., Jalen Harris, and Elijah Ahmad Lewis. Their pure and electrifying dancing was met with singing was wonderful.

The group’s classic hits that led the path to of success including “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Baby Love,” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “Shout,” “Since I Lost My Baby,” and many more! We also learned the back story of Motown records which made for appearances by Smokey Robinson, Berry Gordy, Johnnie Mae, and others. This showstopping stage play is one that you won’t want to miss!
