Looks like Black comedy and gospel are collaborating.
Deadline has reported thta producer Charles D. King has teamed up with Nigerian-American LGBTQ activist and filmmaker Nneka Onuorah for her limited documentary series, Truth Be Told.
The series will explore the ideals, values, and practices of African American Christian congregational worship. At this time, we know that Cedric The Entertainer, Kev on Stage, Tichina Arnold, Warryn and Erica Campbell, as well as David and Tamela Mann will provide their own perspectives to the docuseries.
The new series has four parts and is funded and produced by King’s Marco Television Productions.
Onuorah serves as director and executive producer through her Nneka Productions, LLC imprint.
There has not been word on when we can expect for the docuseries to be released but we are excited!
