On the 27th, I turned 25 years old. Every year for my birthday, I create a theme or a goal “focal point” for the new year. Last year, it was winning. For year 25, the theme is growth and prosperity. I’ve noticed many changes in my life over the years— both positive and eye-opening. I want year 25 to be centered around broadening my mindset and prospering in life. From learning a new skill to becoming a better daughter, sister, friend, journalist, and overall human being. As I work on growth and prospering, I want to figure out ways to give back to my community, be more positive, and showcase love. Jerry Gillies once said, “The strongest single factor in prosperity consciousness is self-esteem: believing you deserve it, believing you will get it.” I wholeheartedly believe I have what it takes to improve and grow. I have what it takes to change my life for the better and the individuals around me. And so, I will. I’m very excited about this new chapter, and I can’t wait to see what it will bring. I’m ready to take on all challenges and explore endless possibilities. Cheers to 25!
