It seems as if companies have been doing more when it comes lifting up the Latinx and Black communiities.

With new pledges coming as time passes, we’ve just learned that CVS Pharmacy is the latest to help! CVS Health has just established a five-year, $5 million scholarship program for Black and Latinx students to help pursue their academic careers in health care.

The official press release stated that the program is a collab between CVS Health Foundation and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). The two-year scholarships provided “will support students in their junior and senior years as they complete their studies.”

The list of applicable majors include pharmacy, nursing, business management, biology, biochemistry, finance, operations/supply chain, data analytics, information technology, actuary, and human resources.

The fund accepts applications for the CVS Health Foundation Health Care Career Scholarship until April 1st, 2021.
