Rapper, Drake has just recently withdrawn his Grammy nominations. Drake was nomination for two Grammys this year – for Best Rap Album for “Certified Lover Boy” and Best Rap Performance for “Way 2 Sexy.”
Drake’s album was one of the top-selling albums of 2021!
Last year, Drake critized the Grammys for shutting out Canadian artist, The Weeknd. Back in 2019, the artist declined the offer to perform at the ceremony.
Grammy nominations are chosen by members of the Recording Academy and voted on by members.
This year, Jon Batise leads the nominations with 11 nominations! Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R. follow behind.
The 2022 Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, Januaary 31st.
