Just last week, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of most of our favorite television show, The Proud Family.

In doing so, exciting news was released ahead of Disney+ releasing the new reboot of the popular ‘00s show titled, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.

The new show will be launching in 2022 on Disney+.

The guest-starring voice cast was released and it includes many of your favorite stars including Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Chance the Rapper, Normani, Leslie Odom Jr., Tiffany Haddish, Lena Waithe, Anthony Anderson, Gabrielle Union, Debbie Allen, James Pickens Jr., Courtney B. Vance, Marsai Martin, Jaden Smith, Glynn Turman, Lamorne Morris, Brenda Song, Tina Knowles, Eva Longoria, Al Roker, and Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Dominique Dawes, and Bretman Rock.

Additionally, we know that there will be recurring roles from Asante Blackk, A Boogie, Francis Leibowitz-Jenkins, and Marcus T. Paulk.

In honor of the anniversary, a few stars from the revival shared what the show meant to them. Check it out below.

The new revivial will follow Penny Proud, her family relationship, and of course their proud pack of friends.

Cast members reprising their roles from the original series are: Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama, Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, Carlos Mencia as Felix Boulevardez, Maria Canals-Barrera as Sunset Boulevardez, Alvaro Gutierrez as Papi, Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer, and Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez.

The show is currently in production at Disney Television Animation, “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” is executive-produced by Bruce W. Smith (“The Princess and the Frog”) and Ralph Farquhar (“Moesha).

All seasons of “The Proud Family,” which debuted on Disney Channel in 2001, are currently available on Disney+.
