On February 28th, 2020, Sara Stokes of the hit TV MTVs Making The Band 2, and BET’s From The Bottom Up series took a leap just before Leap Day and married her sweetheart who is from the same hometown as her. Fashun Rivers is the owner of the media company KDRMG based out of Atlanta, GA, and also a minority owner of the social media platform Bluurp. Sara and Fashun have been dating for the last two years and decided that they wanted to tie the knot and make their union official. Fashun’s birthday usually falls on February 29th which is a leap year so in the future years where leap year doesn’t fall his birthday will have a double celebration! Nice to have another leap year celebrant along with me! So Sara has officially tied the knot and is officially Sara Rivers!
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO GIVE LOVE A SECOND CHANCE?
Everyone saw how my last relationship went. So of course I didn’t think love could live here anymore, but when GOD brings that right person along, you feel it in your Heart and Soul. You can’t hide it. I fell in love with Fashun after getting to know his heart first. We have so much in common it was like looking in the mirror at myself! We finished each other’s sentences, would say the same things in unison, but most important, he saw so much more in me than I even did. He wants me to win and is patient with understanding the trials and tribulations I went through in my life. I can honestly say, I met my Soulmate. God is so AWESOME!
HOW DOES THIS FEELING MAKE YOU FEEL NOW?
It’s like I’m in a dream! I sometimes can’t even believe that I’m here living in this moment right now! I keep asking him how the heck did we get so Blessed! We both have been rocking with each other through every up and down possible! I don’t even feel like the same person..I feel more alive and so excited to see what the future holds for us! We are the perfect team!
HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW?
It’s weird because I feel like I’ve known him my whole life. Like everything has now fallen into place. We both are business minded, talented, passionate, and good hearted people! We both understand each other! So the match LITERALLY WAS MADE IN HEAVEN! This is the Second half of my life so I’m living for me and my happiness and I’m feeling BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE!

We plan on building our businesses while maintaining a healthy and strong relationship, one of our passions is demonstrating how you can have love and commitment to one another while working together to develop power moves.
