Our nation is still mourning the heartbreaking death of George Floyd.

Just yesterday, hundreds gathered at North Central University in Minnesota for the first of many memorials that will take place in honor of George Floyd.

Many of Hollywood’s biggest stars were spotting at the memorial celebrating George’s life including Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, T.I., Tiny, Stephen Jackson, and Tajar Sharpe.

The memorial streamed live on NBC news and included prayers from leaders, music from local artists, and messages from community leaders including the President of North Central University, Dr. Scott Hagen. The president also revealed the George Floyd Memorial Scholarship – which was created to promote the education promise of young black aspiring leaders.

Dr. Scott Hagen also challenged university presidents to start their own funds.
