Deadline has reported that Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjani’s film, The Lovebirds has been picked up by Netflix.

The film was set to hit theaters on April 3rd but due to the current pandemic, the film was pulled to abide by the social distancing guidelines.

The film shares the story of Rae and Nanjani as a couple who have witnessed a murder.

The comedy was set to premiere at Austin’s SXSW Film Festival but was also canceled due to the coronavirus concerns.
