To honor “Mental Health Awareness Month,”attorney and mental health advocate Jade Mathis of the Mathis Family appeared on 96.3 WHUR in Washington, DC.
During the interview, Jade opened up about her experiences with high-functioning depression and how—although she was successful in every area of her life—she still needed to seek help and guidance to work through her mental health struggles.
“If you seem to be in this funk and this dark space, if it seems like something you just cannot shake, that’s when it’s time to seek professional health,” she encouraged the audience.
Jade will be on-air again tomorrow, Tuesday, May 17th, 10:55 am EST, to talk about her own mental health journey as she also answers questions from listeners on a variety of subjects.
In celebration of Juneteenth, the Mathis Family will premiere their brand new family show on E!, entitled “Mathis Family Matters”. The show promises to give a behind the scenes look at the lives of Judge Mathis and his family, as all of his children are back in the same city for the first time in years.
