The Library of Congress has just announced some exciting news!

Janet Jackson and Nas have formally inducted into the Library of Congress.

Every year the Library of Congress selects a list of recordings to be enshrined inside the National Recording Registry.

Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” and Nas’ “Illmatic” have been formally inducted this year.

The two albums are among a group of 25 recordings deemed worthy of preservation by Carla Hayden, the Librarian of Congress.

Congratulations to these two music legends.
