As 50 cent’s new hit series, BMF, continues to attract viewers around the world, Jasun Jabbar is creating a name for himself as a triple threat. The talented actor plays Dink in the series, and it’s safe to say there is no one better for the role. Originally from Brooklyn, Jabbar is the son of hip-hop legend Half a Mill. From having roles on Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns to Atlanta and Black Lightning, acting is just a portion of Jabbar’s artistry. He’s also an artist who plans on dropping a project later this month.

Tell us about your character on BMF.

My character’s name is Dink. He’s one of Meech’s right hand men and plays a pivotal role in the 50 Boyz gang. His strongest trait is his loyalty. Throughout the season fans will get to see just far Dink is willing to go for the family.

How did you prepare yourself for playing the role of Dink?

To prepare to play Dink, I watched a few BMF documentaries. Studied more about the movement that BMF was. It helped me understand their mindset more thoroughly. I also read 50 cent’s book Hustle Harder.

Describe your experience on set.

BMF’s set was extremely unique. It was very much a family. We laughed together, we learned together. We celebrated together. Tasha smith served as an amazing director. I learned a lot from her. Show runner Randy Huggins gave us plenty of room as actors to add our input. It was a perfect match.

Acting is just one of your many talents. As an artist, when can fans expect new music?

I have a new project called Dope Boy Diary dropping October 25th. It embodies the mentality of my character on the show. It’s gone be a real treat for avid fans of my artistry as well as the BMF show. It’s for the real hustlers.
