The 2022 Grammy Awards did not disappoint Sunday night! Many of our favorite artists finally got the recognition they deserved after being snubbed many times. Twitter was on a roll in keeping music lovers updated on performances and wins for those who missed music’s biggest night. But SHEEN curated a list of first-time Grammy Winners and our favorite tweets of the night.

JAZMINE SULLIVAN

In the words of Twitter users, ‘It’s about time!” After being nominated and snubbed in the past, Sullivan is officially a two-time Grammy award-winning artist, snagging awards for Best R&B album and R&B performance for her album Heaux Tales and song “Pick Up Your Feelings.”

DOJA CAT & SZA

Although Doja was nominated for many awards, she only took home one for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. However, this is the first Grammy for Doja Cat and SZA. Both women were beyond grateful, and they won for their hit viral single, “Kiss Me More.”

LUCKY DAYE

While taking a quick break from his Candydrip tour to attend the show, Lucky Daye won his first Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Table for Two. If you know his story, you’ll see that this win is well deserved.

LIL BABY & THE WEEKND

The Atlanta rapper and Canadian singer have been nominated in the past but won their first Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance last night for being featured on Kanye West’s single “Hurricane.”

OLIVIA RODRIGO

It’s safe to say the 18-year-old has done a lot since she got her “Driver’s License.” The pop star has done so much that she walked away with not one but three Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
