Over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar took it to social media to release a statement that he is producing his final album for Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE).

Lamar posted an image of a folder that was labeled “nu thoughts.” He encouraged his followers to visit the link in his bio – which took them to his official statement.

The statement read, “I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.” Lamar’s last studio album was released back in 2017.

His album “DAMN” was rewarded a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2018.
