New York hip hop is incredible and definitely has been on a win! After the amazing battle between Fat Joe and Ja Rule last month, fans were wondering who would be battling next.

Two of New York’s finest rap icons KRS One And Big Daddy Kane will be hitting the Verzuz stage epic battle and going hit for hit.

Hip-hip fans globally are rejoicing indeed because this line up is not only so huge for the hip hop community, but this is so major for the culture.

Big Daddy Kane took to social media to share the exciting news.

Many music industry legends and entertainment favorites are beyond excited for this upcoming battle. Award winning and legendary DJ Spinderella left this comment under the photo. “Oh Snap 🙌🏽”. Radio and tv legend Donnie Simpson shared this comment. “Yesss!! Congrats my Brother👊🏾🔥”.

Fans and followers are too excited that a battle for ‘80s hip-hop, which is considered one of the best hip hop era is finally happening. One fan shared this comment under Big Daddy Kane’s  photo.  “Gonna be a reminder for the greatest era!!! Hoping that this verzuz will give true MCs such as yourself their roses 💯🔥🔥”. Another fan posted this comment.  “OMG this is going to break the internet! Show em how it’s done 💪🏾”.

Followers everywhere have been patiently waiting for a battle where some of rap and hip hop pioneers go head to head and they can no longer contain their excitement for this huge music event.

Many agree that both Big Daddy Kane and KRS One are hip hop and that all aspiring rap artists take notes from these two icons.

According to reports from All Hip-Hop, Big Daddy Kane was asked by the hip hop site who he would want to battle if he was chosen to do a Verzuz battle, and he named KRS-One as the rapper he would want to go hit for hit.

The two iconic rappers were in rival rap crews back in the ’80s which is known as the golden era of hip-hop.

Big Daddy Kane was a member of the Juice Crew, which also featured the late great Biz Markie, Marley Marl, Roxanne Shante, and others, while KRS-One repped Boogie Down Productions which members included the legendary D-Nice and the late DJ Scott La Rock.

This will definitely go down as one of the greatest and most iconic Verzuz battles yet. Just to be able to finally see two iconic and legendary rappers who have influenced and were game changers for hip-hop during one of their most magical eras come together and do this for the culture is incredible.
