Authors use words to create images in your mind! We use words to frame reality. If I told you that I saw a pink elephant with some daisy dukes on, that’s what you’d see in your mind! I’m believing God that you will see the best version of yourself manifest in 2022! The healed you, the mentally free you, the spiritually mature you, the JOYFUL you!!!! The you with a childlike spirit! Remember that you? Can you see her/him? To get to that YOU; there is always a transformation that has to take place! 2021 was one of the hardest, most AMAZING years of my life. There were some setbacks, lots of rejection (God’s direction) and most important; my willingness to step outside of my comfort zone and discover my passion. I can honestly say that I am walking in my calling. In 2021, I spent a lot of time seeking God, trusting him and studying his word on a daily basis.
As I grow into myself and all that God has destined for me to be, do and have, I’m learning that I have to be relentless in my pursuit at getting those things. Closed mouths do not get fed! You have to speak up and out, often to get the things you want out of life. As I continue to grow, I’m learning that there has to come a point where I am laser focused about my goals, which means I have to be intentional about seeking God and putting in the work to grow and get better. After a period of doing that, you become relentless about it. Excellence is a habit. The pursuit becomes habitual.
How you do one thing is how you do everything! As life goes on, I’m learning to just do the work. I have to put the work in in order to get results. There is no secret sauce to becoming all that God has called me to be. I have to put one foot in front of the other day after day. Although nothing will be perfect, I try to put excellence in everything that I do, with a positive attitude. My attitude determines my altitude. It sounds cliche but it’s nothing but the truth. I am intentional about surrounding myself with people who are also positive. Like attracts like.
You’re either winning or you are learning, there are no losers. In life, the only losers are people who quit. I’m a big believer in getting in touch with individuals who have done or are doing things I am in pursuit of. Financial guru, Dave Ramsey says if you want to be rich, do the things that rich people do! Pretty sound advice. I reach out to people who are doing what I want to do and it’s the best piece of business advice I’ve gotten in a long time.
The past two years have been tumultuous for everyone. There has been so much loss around the world. I have used these past two years to perfect my craft and strengthen my relationship with God. I’m learning that if that relationship is strong, everything else in my life tends to fall into place. Getting focused takes laser focus!
