Lil Wayne is the “Best Rapper Alive”… and there’s no debate! With everyone ready to be outside amidst the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic, Weezy fans were extra excited for the UPROAR Hip-Hop Festival, taking over Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday, August 13th. The one-day festival was livestreamed via Mandolin, while concert-goers entered the historic, newly-renovated LA venue.

While openers Polo G and Mulatto set the tone for the evening, it was Weezy F Baby (please say the baby) that the people were waiting for. Making his way on stage in a full camo fit and Balenciaga beanie, the crowd went crazy as he performed hit single after hit single. At one point, he screams “if you work hard for your money, make some noise!” — entering into a lit performance of “Rich As Fuck” featuring 2 Chainz.

The live band on stage added to the experience, with Wayne reciting all his lyrics into that microphone. Smash hits “Good Kush and Alcohol,” “Officer,” “Bed Rock,” “Lollipop,” “A Milli,” had fans singing along word for word, as he performed “Hustler Musik” and “Steady Mobbin” for the day ones.

But the real show tonight were the guest appearances: Polo G, Big Sean, The Game, and Wiz Khalifa. Each guest showed their admiration for Wayne, and gave him an unforgettable hug before they excited the stage. Lil Wayne is a true rockstar… and he proves that over and over again.

At the end of the show, he reminded folks, “I ain’t shit without you!” He even came out for an encore just to show love to the people.
