As time progresses, it appears that more makeup brands are taking that step into make their brands more inclusive by offering products for beauties with darker skin tones.

Though we’ve seen a huge advancement in shade range for foundaitons and concealers, there is still much room for improvement in other areas of makeup.

Midas Cosmetics has just launched a face palette in an effort to fill that gap! It was made specifically for you beauties with deeper skin tones. Just a couple weeks ago, the brand took it to Instagram to reveal that they were releasing a Dusk to Dawn collection.

The collection features four face palettes curated by each skintone, how cool! There is a highlighter, blush, contour, and bronzer shade in each palette. This colelction was made in collaboration with makeup artist, Darius McKiver, popularly known as NeonMUA.

The Midnight palette is my pride and joy. Once we knew that we were doing 4 palettes, this was my first task. As I’ve said in the review video, seeing so many people @nymatang have to revert to using eyeshadows and eyeliners to contour and bronze broke my heart. In 2019/2020, everyone should have access to basic face products no matter their complexion. No matter what anyone says, beauty is for everyone. And we should be creating products for everyone to use. The Midnight palette is for every person who’s been left out. And I promise it’ll never happen again. 🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌 @midascosmetics_ x @NeonMUA Dusk to Dawn Collection 4 face palette each with a highlighter, blush, contour & bronzer! Instead of growing frustrated with the lack of products for those with dark skin tones, McKiver decided enough was enough.

In a statement from Midas Cosmetics, McKiver said, “Dusk to Dawn was my way of doing what was ‘impossible’ and cater to those who have always been left out.”

He added, “I want the industry to see that major changes still need to happen, and if these big brands can’t do it, the indie brands and micro-influencers will.”

Each palette in this collection retails for $36. They will become avaliable on August 10th at 9 AM PST on the official Midas Cosmetics website.
