It looks like another important event has been postponed! Vogue has reported that the Metropolitan Museum of Art will postpone the 2020 Met Gala indefinitely due to the Coronavirus.

Fashion’s biggest night was set to take place on May 4th.

We previously shared that Emma Stone and Meryl Streep would serve as co-chairs for the event and in addition, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Louis Vuitton artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière will join. This will be Streep’s first Met Gala ever!

Back in November, the Costume Institue of the Metropolitan Museum of Art revealed that this year’s theme is: About Time: Fashion and Duration.

This year marks the Gala’s 150th annual event. The 2020 Met Gala is one of the many events postponed because of the Coronavirus.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards, Kids Choice Awards, and ACM Awards are all put on hold. In addition, festivals such as Coachella and Stagecoach have been postponed until October.
