The legacy of Nipsey Hussle continues to leave a lasting impact on the South Los Angeles community. His business mindset allowed him to give back to the people in his neighborhood when they needed it most. To this day, his legacy is celebrated through his assets and the brands he created for his people. Nipsey’s apparel line, The Marathon Clothing, recently collabed with Puma to release the Everyday Hussle collection. The new line features a few styles of green tracksuits to choose from, that were inspired by the rapper’s On The Run tour outfit.

Shoe Palace held a speaking event at their Ladera Heights location hosted by Power 106 morning host Letty Peniche, as a way to honor Nipsey Hussle and recognize The Marathon Clothing’s new launch. Guest speakers joined the panel including entrepreneurs LaRonn Harris, Anthony Holt, David Gross, and Nipsey’s manager Jorge Peniche. Each speaker shared their own memories of how they knew Nipsey and the impact he left on their lives. They also represented his brand by speaking more on the purpose behind the collaboration with Puma.

When asked about Nipsey Hussle’s legacy and what it represents for the South Los Angeles community, LaRonn Harris stated, “The marathon continues: that line says it all.” He goes on to talk about what that means and how Nipsey’s brand, The Marathon Collective, has helped spread that message across other struggling communities.

LaRonn Harris, Anthony Holt, and the rest of the panel also touched on their entrepreneurial knowledge and gave advice on how the younger generation can be successful as they continue to grow.

When asked about the best piece of advice someone can give to the younger generation, Anthony Holt stated “You will only get stronger through adversity.”
