Pantone has just revealed the 2021 Color of the Year or should we say colors?

That’s right, Pantone has named a color combo for the year 2021 and it is Ultmiate Gray, and Illuminating Yellow!

The two together support one another beautifully so it’s no surprise the two shades have been named Colors of the Year.

The decision was made for the past year of quarantine. The Executive Director of the Pantone color Institute told the New York Times, Leatrice Eiseman said, “It’s a dependable gray.”

The ultimate gray is a perfect description of how our 2020 went in quarantine, a gray of cloudy skies. Grayness means it does not point toward an ending. What a perfect description of where we all stand right now during the global pandemic.

The yellow was selected because it is the “light at the end of the tunnel” – making us all hopeful that 2021 will be a better year for us.

What do you think of Pantone’s Colors of the Year? Let us know if you’ll be incorporating these colors into your New Year.
